VOICES Literary Magazine 2014

16 Jan
This year’s theme for our VOICES literary magazine is ‘Mirror, Mirror, Here I Stand’ – a concept of reflection and solidarity within a community. Allow yourself to openly and honestly reflect on the intricacies of your identities. Society may look at them in a one-dimensional way, so be aware of how the world may distort how you look at who you are. Know that you are not alone in your thoughts and experiences– there is a whole community of people who can relate and are willing to listen, who share in your feelings of identity, the invalidation of your identity, and in the inherent struggle of your pride in your cultural heritage.

We are now accepting submissions of prose, artwork, poems, lyrics, photography, and any medium that expresses your voice and reflects the theme. Please send submissions to tuftsvoiceslitmag@gmail.com by FEB 25, 2014 at 11:59 PM. English professor Talusan and art professor Kaminishi will judge submissions and first place prizes will be awarded to the top pieces of written work and artwork.

This is a great opportunity for you to share your thoughts and experiences with the rest of Tufts community. If you have any questions, please feel free to send them to tuftsvoiceslitmag@gmail.com. You can also check out previous issues here.

Thanks,
Vanessa and Sarah
