Open Meeting: Anti-Asian Violence

What: 
In this meeting, we will be discussing different types of anti-Asian violence, experiences, and how it is present on Tufts campus. We hope that from this event, people will become more aware of the different facets of violence that occur everyday life, and hopefully can come up with ways to combat it together!

Asian American Studies Minor Panel

 The panel will include a faculty member, an alumni and current students, who will talk about why the minor is important, what the minor consists of, why they chose the minor, their experiences on campus and what they will be doing in the future.

Asian American Studies Teach-In

To support the push for an Asian American Studies Major, the Asian American Alliance organized a teach-in, to inform the campus community about what it is and why it is important. Here is a video of it.

–UPDATE–

On May 9th, 2012, a full faculty voted for an Asian American Studies minor and an Africana Studies major and minor to be offered as part of the 2012 Tufts curriculum! Huzzah!! Thank you to all who have supported this initiative for the past 40 years!!
